Day 12

Happy 1/2 birthday to me!!!!! Sorry, but only mommies with twin boys born on their birthday get to celebrate their half birthday...really, this was something Charlie started long before our kids came (good thing, huh).

So I thought my pearl necklace was my gift a day early, but then Charlie shows up with a little box from the same pearl shop from yesterday...WHAT?!?! Inside was a little pearl ring. Nothing expensive, but VERY sweet! Apparently he had EVERYONE in on it, even our guide. : o) I love that man!

Today was our souvenir shopping day on the island. Aside from Charles getting car sick and throwing up in not one but two taxis, leaving my camera at a shop on the island and Charlie having to take another taxi back to find it, and Hannah having one of her melt downs at all 3 meals, it was a pretty uneventful day.

Don't ask me how (other than by the beautiful grace of God), but we are still able to find moments of joy in this CrAzY journey. If nothing else but laughing at ourselves sometimes...and for that I am so thankful!!! Hey, memories are memories and God is making sure we have a load of them.

Amanda, Hannah, Charlie, and Charles are all better now, but there have been several others in our group who have also come down with one thing or another...so please keep praying for health for EVERYONE!

Only a few pictures today...sorry. Crazy times y'all!

Praying for a full night's sleep...goodnight.

Good night sweet Campbell family and Dearing family! Hope you all rest and wake up feeling refreshed. I love that Denise is half way around the world and I can still laugh at the things you say! Glad God keeps bringing laughter it is great medicine for when you are just about at your end. Glad to hear everyone is feeling better. Pray that continues. Mark and Charles I haven't told Kayliegh or Tyler or they haven't seen this blog yet, but I am thinking they are not going to like your mother's explanation of her half birthday. But, you do have to admit you have been around the world to China and seen things we haven't seen and now have a new little sister! I guess that is a pretty good half birthday to you all!!! If you do that for half birthday's I can't wait to see birthday for being 7- Think big ideas boys!!! Praying for you all! Travel Days are coming soon!

Well, well, well happy 1/2 birthday Denise, Mark and Charles. Oh, happy 23 month birthday, Hannah. I guess I should say happy shaft day, Charlie. Maybe we should change your birthday to the 17th or maybe we should leave it on the 19th and say anyone with their birthday on the 19th should get the royal treatment from anyone born on the 17th. Wow that would keep everyone in your house busy ;-) I try to watch out for ya, Charlie every chance I get......lol
After reading the post your aunt Donna posted it sounds like I need to start stocking back up on my little colorful pills. I am happy to hear everyone seem to be feeling much better. It sounds like Charles needs some extra colorful pills.
We have 4 more days till the Campbell family return, boy howdy we can hardly wait. If the rest of the week goes as fast as today I might make.....lol
You remember those 10 bags you started the trip? if you don't hurry and get out of China Your going to have to buy 10 more bags to haul all the extra stuff. You might even have to check into chartering you own plane.
We are looking forward to your post on Thursday. We will be seeing little Miss Hannah become A US citizen. That should be a very thrilling day. Can't wait to see all of you pictures and hear all of your stories.
We love you all and can't wait to hear from you again.
Hugs and kisses xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Dearest precious Denise,
I just wanted to take this special moment to wish you the happiest of happy 1/2 birthdays...since you are the only person in China celebrating their 1/2 birthday, ummmm, or would that be the only person in the world celebrating their 1/2 birthday!!! Heeheehee!!! I'm just razzing ya!!! You know that's what I do best!!! It's what keeps me on your favorite sister list!!! Oh wait...I'm your only sister, so I guess that just make me always your favorite!!! : ) Seriously, I'm glad you had a special day!!! Charlie is a great guy!!! Whoever Hannah grows up to marry, he will have some tall shoes to
fill with Charlie now being her daddy!!! But isn't that how it's
supposed to be anyway???
I have had a crazy day so I am just getting the chance to
post!!! It's getting late & I really should be studying my
eyelids!!! But, I was just reflecting over this journey you all
have been on!!! I remember the day you all told us that
God had but a desire in your heart for a little girl from
China!!! Do you remember that day??? We were at Pei
Wei!!! We did not know her name nor did we know what
she would looked like!!! We just knew God had a plan!!!
Wow!!! Look at where that little spark has taken you all!!!
That little spark has taken you half way around the world to
get a beautiful little girl who now has a face and a
name...Hannah!!! That little spark has grown into a love
that will continue to grow each and everyday!!! I am just
amazed at this wonderful match God has brought
together!!!! I know you all are getting anxious & maybe a
bit nervous as you approach the last leg of your trip, but
the journey won't stop there...then the next chapter
begins!!! I just wanted to share one of my favorite verses:
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold
you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
No matter where this path may take all of you, God will be with you, He will strengthen you, He will help you & He will
hold you up in His righteous right hand!!! Now, if that's not
something to be thankful for, then I don't know what is!!!!
Okay, I'm going to leave you with that thought & I'm going
to go to bed!!! Hope you all have a great day & make some
more wonderful memories!!!
Love ya bunches!!!
